Tsunami mock drill in Pondicherry

In Puducherry tsunami mock drill has been started on 12th October, 201. This mock drill is carried out jointly by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department and INCOIS. This Tsunami mock drill operation is executed in Pilliachavady (place nearby Pondicherry Engineering College)

A demonstration to the public on how to protect themselves at the time of such disasters will be given. Fishermen’s of Pilliachavady participated and get benefited.

This drill is organised under the auspices of Unesco's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission.
