‘The Hindu Young World Quiz’, will take place on 6h November 2012, at Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry. S.B. Deepak Kumar, Collector, Puducherry, will be the chief guest and will give away prizes to the regional winners. The competition will begin at 10:15 am.
The regional winners will not only receive trophies and certificates from The Hindu but also cash prize of Rs.12,000, and gifts from the sponsors as well. The first runner up (team) will receive a cash prize of Rs.8,000, while the second runner up (team) will win Rs.6,000, as well as trophies and certificates. All participants will receive certificates; in addition there will be plenty of other prizes for the audience. The regional winners of the 16 centres will compete in the grand finale which will be held in Chennai on 7th December 2012.
The title sponsor for this year Young World Quiz is Britannia Milk Bikis Future Minds.
The associate sponsors are Indian Overseas Bank, VIT University, Firefox, Goldwinner and Black thunder. Success Note Books, Reynolds Pens and S Mart will be the gift sponsors. Wild Craft and Real Fruit juice will be the outdoor gear and beverage sponsors respectively. The event manager is Iads & Events.
Hotel Mass and Classique Mineral Water are sponsoring snacks and water. Aditya Vidhyashram is the venue sponsor. De Jayamani Furniture, Siara Systems Siva Valli Vilas Jewellers, KKM Agencies and Buildtech will sponsor gifts.
