Alternative Transport for Chennai Puducherry is Train. The fare is Rs.53. Puducherry Express starts from Puducherry daily at 5:35 AM and reaches Chennai Egmore at 9:30. Return train from Chennai to Puducherry is at 6:10 from Egmore and reaches Pondicherry by 10:20. Apart from there is passenger train from Pondicherry at afternoon and passenger train from Chennai at early morning 6:00 AM
