The most awaited Vijay’s film Velayudham (வேலாயுதம்) is to be released on Diwali - 26th October 2011. The story revolves around an ordinary milkman, trying to eradicate corruption. Vijay in lead role along with Hansika Motwani and Genelia D'Souza. Directed by M. Raja. Produced by Venu Ravichandran and distributed by Aascar Films. Velayudham competes with Suriya’s 7aum Arivu.
In Pondicherry, Velayudham is to be released in Muruga Theatre & Big Cinemas Jeeva (Screen 1). Theatre has arranged for special show on Diwali. Currently there is no online booking for Muruga Theatre & Big Cinemas Theatre
