Pondicherry Shopping Festival 2009 - 2010

Pondicherry government has announced to conduct Pondicherry Shopping Festival after having discussion with Chief Minister V.Vaithilingam and his committee.

In Pondicherry, for the past 8 years shopping festival has been celebrated. Due to some problem in bumper prize distribution last year shopping festival was cancelled.

This year shopping festival has been planned to function from December 1, 2009 to January 29, 2010

From this year Puducherry government will be conducting Pondicherry shopping festival. For this a new committee was made under Chief Minister V.Vaithilingam. Chief Minister V.Vaithilingam will be the president and Tourism Minister Malladi Krishna Rao will be the vice president for the committee.

Puducherry government has allotted Rs.70 lakhs for conducting Pondicherry Shopping Festival in Pondicherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. 25 lakhs coupons has been planned to print. Rs. 1000 has been declared has registration fee for the shops to participate in Pondicherry Shopping Festival
