• Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy flags off 10 new Volvo buses of PRTC (Puducherry Road Transport Corporation). 5 Volvo will be operated towards Chennai from Puducherry 3 via ECR and 2 via Tambaram. 1 Volvo from Karaikal to Chennai. 2 Volvo from Mullodai to PIMS and other 2 volvo from Madagadipet to Gorimedu.
• 20 new PRTC Mini Buses to remote viallages in Puducherry soon.
• Puducherry gets Rs. 188 crore in Union Budget 2014 for meeting commitments for Disaster preparedness.
• Puducherry Lt. Governor Virendra Kataria has been removed. Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands will discharge the functions of Lt. Governor of Puducherry until regular arrangements 
• Mango festival in Karaikal.
