Chief Minister N. Rangasamy inspected the Pondicherry Airport construction work of new terminal in Pondicherry Airport which is located in Lawspet. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy said that 70% of the work has been over and the airport will function from August 2012.
Flight service has been planned (still under review) to Goa, Madurai, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Coimbatore. The Government is planning to arrange 72 seats flight service from operators such as SpiceJet and Kingfisher Airlines.
